Design2Share's Anonymous UK Correspondent - As the weather warms up, many families start to head off for days out in the sun at the weekends, and popular destinations are the various stately homes which open their doors to the public. In the States, you'd call them historic homes, but stately or historic, you and your family will have a great time. The gardens are amazing, with lots of things for the children to enjoy, and the houses are spectacular and full of interior design inspiration.

What's to see?

This is apple country. But even more importantly, you'll see the original roots of the cathedral of Saint Patrick, including two great St. P cathedrals (one Anglican, one Catholic), one the precursor to the famous one in New York City. Chances are, there's a Greek-style building in your town. The Greek classical style was born in the Golden Age of Greece—during the 5th century BC—and it's never disappeared. Greek architecture has been copied and modified throughout the centuries, right down to the present age. Even the word architecture is Greek in origin; it's from arkhitekto, meaning master builder.

Searching for beauty this holiday season? Holiday decorations abound, yet one can't top fresh snow hanging on real evergreen boughs. We looked around for beautiful Christmas trees and found many. Here are some of our favorites - but just know that we haven't found anything quite as beautiful as Mother Nature. She always decorates with the most taste, style, and simplicity.
