Hello, Vietnam: Industrial Chic Design

Ping Pong/Dining Table

Ping Pong/Dining Table

The table features a reclaimed hardwood top made from old colonial buildings found locally in Saigon. Our cross net is made from a natural leather that is hand-stitched to perfection by local craftsman and it is secured by or hand-laid cast iron bases and net clamp.

Irwin Weiner ASID - Continuing my High Point Market (NC) furniture finds during a recent visit with a client, I came across District Eight Design, hailing from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. They impressed me with their blend of timeless design, industrial chic, and custom surprises. Take their ping pong table, for instance (see photos above). It serves as a dining table when you're not serving a fast one over the amazing handmade leather net. Use this statement piece in your family room, dining room, or office conference room because of its multi-functionality. It's smart to invest in pieces that serve a multitude of purposes, particularly for today's active family and small office lifestyle.

Although District Eight Design was originally created to preserve and develop historically significant buildings, warehouses and objects in Ho Chi Minh City, the firm has rapidly expanded to include a production line of modern industrial furnishings that respond to these environments, residential and commercial, here and abroad.

District Eight Design continues to be an innovator and leader in the furniture industry. The company now distributes and design pieces for over 20 different countries and looks forward to serving the global furniture market.
