Can't write anything.  A Favorite from One of Our Readers

We just received a lovely email alert from Jennifer Mitchell, a fab interior designer and blogger extraordinaire. What? You haven't checked out her Design Hole site yet? You're missing a lot of great design inspiration, so check it out! And Jennifer would like to inform all D2S readers that Alluminaire is offering an amazing custom lampshade service. Be creative, express yourself, and save money with this amazing service. Read the Alluminaire article, and try out this can't-lose custom system. Thanks for the great tip, Jennifer!

The furniture and accessories from Britain's reestore are forerunners of contemporary eco design, with clever reuses for everyday waste, from old bathtubs and office chair bases to oil drums and car bumpers.

Old hat.  Favorite Antique House

This is the Marchant family home (photo taken around 1908), built in 1840 in Charlottesville, VA and named Piraeus.

Mowing the grass.  Favorite Spring Vendors

Since 1829 there has been a Philadelphia Flower Show, the oldest flower show in the U.S. If you didn't attend the early March 2008 New Orleans themed "Jazz It Up!" Show, you can still check out the Show's excellent vendors and their plants, outdoor furniture, garden accessories, and other wares that make us Think Spring!

Harassment.  Favorite Garden Blog

We're big fans of Garden Rant ("Uprooting the Gardening World"). Please check them out. They're probably the most genuine voice for great grassroots gardening around, and a refreshing change from what they decry as those perfect gardens in all the magazines.

Psychotic.  Favorite "Here's Looking at You!" Mirrors

BB.gifBond & Bowery has a lovely Pair of 19th Century Carved Gilt Wood Oval Mirrors circa 1860, and we think you should look into them (get it?). Check out these beauties in this week's Bond & Bowery Presents, and learn even more about these mirrors and how they were made in our D2S By George! interview.

A lot of work.  Favorite Book to Share

Syndicated home columnist and humorist (with over 7 million readers) Marni Jameson has a new book out that looks accessible and terrific. Look into The House Always Wins: America's Most Trusted Home Columnist's Guide to Creating Your (Almost) Perfect Dream House. It promises lots of first-hand, must-have advice -- and we're all about getting great tips!

Dying from the heat.  Favorite Hot Home Invention

Check it out: NASA grow-your-own-plants-in-space gadgetry lands in your home with AeroGarden. This kind-of hydroponics way to grow small plants from seeds is nifty swifty.
