Australian singer-songwriter Josh Pyke thought it would be cool to commission a guitar-shaped boat, only to auction it off shortly after he owned it to raise money for a worthy charity.
3. April is National Poetry Month
When Poets House (10 River Terrace, NYC) was being constructed in 2009, actor Bill Murray entertained the construction workers - and poetry never sounded so grand in what is now a grand facility (you must see!).

We skipped across the pond to feature one of our favorite garden designers, London-based Charlotte Rowe, with a view of a beautiful evening terrace in an urban retreat we can't help but covet.
5. April 7th is No Housework Day
Ever want to just say no to housework? Well, you can pay a price, and that's where the complete train wreck of a show Hoarders comes in. Fascinating and repulsive at the same time, the show looks into the lives of people who compulsively can't throw anything out - and all semblance of housework flies out the window. Bless their hearts; we're compulsively reaching for our Swiffers right now . . . .
