In a recent trip to the Savel showroom at NY's Decoration and Design Building, we spoke with Andrea Elish, and she showed us some of the amazing new linens Savel is carrying. It opened our eyes!
Linens are ready palettes for expressing color and pattern in home textiles, and the handprinted work of fashion designer and artist Tania Vartan show a bold, colorful attitude that walks the line of modern and classic.
We also admired the daring, stark modernity of a textile line Savel is carrying from Brooklyn's Fabric and Steel. Founded to provide fabrics that bridge the divide between soft goods and hard architectural elements, the line is edgy and fun. The Belgium-woven linens are handprinted in the U.S.
