Le Corbusier's Cabana Retreat from Concrete
Irwin Weiner ASID - Our regular Design2Share readers know I'm a big Le Corbusier fan. I like that he's so versatile at designing furniture and buildings, and both are so very sculptural. His designs and his artwork are so forever chic and stylish, and I jumped for joy when I found this video showing a recreation of the 1950s cabana he built in the south of France.
This humble structure bears zero resemblance to the cast concrete structures he widely designed, but both show design and embellishment in a very pure way.
You're really going to enjoy this short video look at the cabana exhibit in Paris' leading department store!
