Irwin Weiner ASID - My friends know that my idea of camping is a Four Seasons hotel outside the United States. I'm not a particularly "roughing it" kind of guy. However, I just might make an exception for this eco-tourism lodging gem, the Tierra Atacama Hotel & Spa in the northern Atacama Desert portion of Chile.
While it's not the end of the world, it looks like you can see it from there, as shown in today's featured design video.
"Design" in this case, applies to both the natural, rugged, minimal approach to lodging and luxury in this hotel and its fortuitous siting alongside stunning natural marvels like mountains, deserts, hot springs, and other volcanic marvels.
Rooms open up to the outside, making the view as prominent as the decor ... just as it should be.
