4 Favorite Lights

Irwin Weiner ASID - My clients and I are always on the lookout for something new in the lighting department. Here are four of my favorites, each making a distinctive statement. Click on each image for more product information. We begin with Edra's peculiar, spectacular Campana (Bell) pendants in gold and silver finish. The top photo shows the finishes and sizes, the second photo shows the large scale of the larger-sized pendant and how the illumination works - the peek-through light in the fixture itself, where the body of the light coils and wraps, is an intriguing design.

Right now I'm doing a client's Upper West Side apartment in Manhattan, and we're going to be installing one of the Lindsey Adelman Branching Bubble Chandeliers from BDDW over the dining room table (next photo). It's a stunning sculptural piece, the white frosted fixture with halogen lights give off great light (with a dimmer, of course, to set the right mood), and the asymmetry of the piece is magical.

Modulightor has their classic Corona chandelier, pictured below in a polished stainless steel finish. The exposed bulbs and clean sweep of circular metal make this a contemporary lighting statement that will never go out of style. I have a similar fixture in my kitchen, and it certainly elevates the room from "interesting" to "wow."

Finally, I'm in love with the beautiful details of the swing-arm Petal Wall Light from Soane Britain (below). It's the quintessential bedroom wall light, fully adjustable for reading.
