Michel Rojkind - Pushing Design Fast-Forward
Irwin Weiner ASID - Young architects are pushing the tradition-bound nature of buildings. But there are timeless traits to look for, primarily respect for the location of any new building and knowing the community well. We were struck with this video interview of Mexican architect Michel Rojkind. His background in music and architecture seems to have blended beautifully to form "architectural compositions" that are fresh and startling. He's intrigued with how people relate to buildings, both public and private. He explores the use of computer design and the latest building materials. And he teaches, sharing his passion for design with others. Our kind of guy.
