Magic Mountain

We're Bond & Bowery, a website with the most diverse selection of antiques, design, and fine art in cyberspace. We highlight quality pieces without the clutter of competing ads and excessive editorial content. B & B understands the importance of a valuable acquisition and its contribution to home decoration.

Your B & B Host: I'm George Evans, and I've spent the last 20 years importing and exporting antiques and fine design pieces from Europe. I'm a New York City dealer and I have two showrooms in Lambertville, New Jersey.

This week we're bringing you a 20th Century welded iron sculpture called Study for Cold Mountain, a 53-inch tall work by internationally acclaimed sculptor John Henry. This dynamic smaller-scale piece comes to us from River Stone, located at 37 West Broad Street in lovely Haverstraw, NY.

Imagine this sculpture, perfectly suitable for a place of honor outdoors, perched atop a large table or sitting on a stone or lucite platform in your living room. The effect would be a showstopper, similar to the way sculpture artfully enlivens this Bedford, NY room decorated by Sills Huniford Associates.

We think John Henry's sculpture would look great in your home. For a more in-depth discussion about John Henry and outdoor sculpture, see my By George interview with Design2Share. And visit Bond & Bowery for the item detail page on Study for Cold Mountain.
